10/10 would recommend! It’s a food truck, but looks to be there permanently. Quick stop off the interstate, plenty of parking, friendly service, not just another generic fast food, and with a funny name as a bonus. It was quick to get the food, full of flavor, generous portions, and extremely well priced. 6 for a huge half portion of smoked chicken on the fries with all the goods including plenty of the cheese sauce. :) So good!
If you are ever in the Effingham area do not pass this place up! It is some of the best brisket i have ever had. The sides were great too and everything was very reasonably priced. Its a food truck -not a sit down restaurant but there is plenty of seating at the picnic tables (with a nice view of the smoker!) I can’t say enough how friendly the staff was and what a great experience it was overall. A And i love the name!
Found this on Google maps and had to try it since this is the area we stop for gas every time through. The food was amazing. I got the Big Pig and I made it spicy. It comes with bacon and cheese. It had just the right amount of spicy. Pork was juicy and very flavorful, the bun was fresh and soft. The portions were just right. It is a perfect sandwich. I also got a side of loaded potatoes. That was great as well. The husband got the Piedmont and substituted the brisket. The meat was perfect with what seemed to be a different flavor of smoke than the pork, it was tender and juicy also. Nothing left over!! They were even kind enough to bring it inside to us so we didn’t have to wait in the cold for it.
Newbie in town. As a born and raised Texan I was craving that wonderful BBQ food. Just by the name alone I knew this was a MUST try! And may Lord strike me where I stand if I’m lyin’ but this is amazing!!! It has been quite sometime since I’ve actually tasted love in food. Thank you guys for feeding my soul. Might I also add the prices or top notch! Throw that dang lab crap in the trash and get some real food for less!
Delicious BBQ, had the Piedmont, Big Pig, loaded potato salad and baked beans, we loved it all, super friendly staff, picnic tables, and ample parking. Hope they get shirts soon, would love to get one.
We were passing through and my wife was looking for a place to stop for dinner for the family and saw this place with good reviews. Didn't realize it was a food truck, but absolutely worth the stop. Some high quality BBQ. We especially liked the brisket. And I'm a meat smoker, so this was some of the best from a restaurant I've had. Wife loved the Mac and cheese brisket and the big pig sandwich with brisket was delicious. We considering stopping when driving back the other direction.
Found this place and MAN am I happy I did. Quality smoked meats, great customer service and a cool bar next to it. Can't wait u til they get moved inside. Will visit EVERY TIME I come to Effingham. Chef Richard Beaumont's Southern Kitchen
Do yourself a favor and stop in for some of the best BBQ in the US! Not spoken lightly, being from Memphis and having readily access to the best around. They definitely give Memphis' best a run for their money. Thoroughly enjoyed our food today and would recommend to any and all. You can tell they take pride in their product and enjoy sharing their passion with the customers. Thanks for taking a few minutes to talk, we will be back for sure!
